DESIGN - clever, beautiful & efficient solutions for all kinds of items from teapots to skyscrapers. I think the Dutch have an amazing contemporary design sense.

MY FAITH - prayer and constant awe in God's creation. Nature, in general.

BRIDGES, trees, walls, doors, modern support structures, large rusted machinery, peeling paint and faded advertising....

Quiet and solitude
are essential to my creativity and best work. But, I enjoy and look forward to opportunities when I can laugh and have a good conversation with friends. I welcome any chance to meet and connect with new people and talk about unusual topics and hear another persepective.
Aaron – best friend, life partner, live-in comedian, supporting patron, extraordinary human being

I’m Kathleen Borkowski

whose joy comes with writing words!
My talent in Calligraphy has developed over the past 20 years while studying with master calligraphers and artists from Britain and the U.S., and by constantly honing my skills on commissioned and personal work.

I graduated cum laude from the University of Bridgeport with a B.S. degree in journalism. I am a member and past president of the Connecticut Valley Calligraphers. My professional career has been in the publishing business – production, art and marketing. I love page layout and design and never tire of putting words and images together to deliver a message.

I get excited about:

Art and art history

Making stuff - Having a project

Traveling and seeing new places

Being outside any time of the year.

My faith is an important aspect of my authentic self. I'm an artistic and spiritual seeker - always have been. I am continually grateful for all God's blessings -- and as Joe Walsh says:
"I can't complain, but sometimes I still do, Life's been good to me so far."
